Six Flags Magic Mountain delays opening of 'The Conjuring'
Haunted attraction delayed due to "unforeseen circumstances"
(World of Screams)—Six Flags Magic Mountain announced Friday afternoon the delayed opening of the forthcoming Fright Fest haunted attraction, The Conjuring. The reason behind the delay was not disclosed.
In a social media post published on September 15th, the park stated, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the opening of our Fright Fest attraction, The Conjuring, has been delayed. Updates on the attraction opening will be made on our social media channels and website at www.sixflags.com/magicmountain.”
Based on the 2013 horror film of the same name, The Conjuring dares guests to "enter the secluded farmhouse of the Perron family that has been terrorized and plagued by sinister spirits." Official event maps depict the haunted attraction to be located near the park’s iconic Tatsu roller coaster.
Fright Fest, celebrating its 30th anniversary this fall, debuted on September 8th and will run on select nights until October 31. The event features a total of eight up-charge haunted attractions and seven scare zones for visitors to experience.
